Employers cannot discriminate against employees who test positive for marijuana when it’s prescribed by a physician, but can reprimand employees if they are impaired on the job due to drug use. Most smokers are very aware of how marijuana affects them. Some even admit that they should not go to the workplace high, others say it does not affect their productivity. Employers aren’t willing to risk their livelihoods by taking the chance. So ask yourself, is it worth yours?
