Hello EM Family and Friends,
It’s been a while, but for me its been time needed to refresh while awaiting new
ideas and most importantly, perspective. I must admit that these past months have been full of ups and downs for us all. I personally have experienced both illness and loss of loved ones, and been affected and perplexed by things happening on a global level. I have asked myself, as I am sure some of you have as well, what is the point of it all? I have and continue to pray for things to get better for the inhabitants of this place we call home.
Over the past three days, in conversations with people I admire, one word kept resurfacing and that word was “HOPE”. In each conversation, we were discussing different issues, but every one of them referred to HOPE as the key factor in the RESOLUTION OF THE ISSUE(S) being discussed.
Now I consider myself a Spiritual Being, and just to be very clear, we are all spiritual beings whether we are accepting of that fact or not. As Spiritual Beings, HOPE plays a huge role in everything we do. We HOPE for happiness, HOPE for success, HOPE for love, HOPE for peace and unity….the list goes on and on.
As I considered the words of my friends and mentors, I realized that I was not practicing the one thing that I knew to be necessary to change things. Yes, I was diligently praying for resolution of the terrible events unfolding around me, but my HOPE had suffered a severe blow. How did that happen? Easily. Although it wasn’t happening directly to me, I was being indirectly affected by what was happening around me. People being slaughtered in meaningless wars, the loss of children and with them the hope of generations that will never be, politicians caring only for the next win with no care about the costs to others. It was all too much! This my friends is the very reason why we must never lose HOPE, NO MATTER WHAT!
When we lose HOPE, our prayers are meaningless, For hope is the main ingredient of our Faith and Faith drives our actions. We cannot allow our HOPE to be taken away from us, and the constant barrage of loss that we are experiencing is enough to make anyone lose Faith.
My ask to the EM Family, is to remain positive, to pray diligently with Faith and Hope and when and where it is possible, take positive action to effect change. Let’s all do what we can to create a world that all people can live and thrive in peace and prosperity. It begins with LOVE and HOPE.
