The Blend Orlando

Where Fashion, Music and Art Meet…

Art Riana YoungBy Riana Young, Lifestyles Editor

The Blend Orlando is where fashion, music, and art meet. The distinguishing factor about this event was that it happened to be a Pop Up Art Show. The Blend Orlando brings up and coming hip hop artists, local fashion designers, boutique owners, and artists all together to showcase their talents in multiple cities or venues. The result …One fantastic event. EM attended a recent pop up which was held at The CityArts Factory in Downtown Orlando www.orlandoslice.com . As soon as you walk through the Factory door you are immersed in the visual arts. The gallery I visited showcased art from instructors at Orange County Public Schools (see art on next page). The event featured various DJ’s and live performances. There was something for everyone.
As you walk throughout the Factory behind every wall and corner there is something different. Local fashion boutiques have their own section. It’s like being at a mini shopping plaza and having the opportunity to go on a shopping spree. Oh ! And did I forget to mention the mini bar? What kind of an event would it be if you couldn’t have something to sip on while you enjoy your time there?
If shopping, beautiful art, eclectic company, and music speak to your soul this is the place for you to be. To keep an eye out for these events follow @TheBlendOrlando on Instagram. If you catch it you will not regret it.
