EM COMMENTARY – POLITICS – WHAT’S GOOD FOR THE PEOPLE. ALL THE PEOPLE!

EM COMMENTARY – POLITICS – WHAT’S GOOD FOR THE PEOPLE. ALL THE PEOPLE!

It is a little after 10am and I honestly have just gotten out of bed.  Can’t believe I slept in and can’t believe I slept peacefully.  So many things have been on my mind as I am sure they have been on everyone’s minds as of late.  With so many disastrous issues looming over our heads its a wonder we haven’t all run screaming to the wailing wall, rending our clothing and pulling the hair from our heads.  A bit extreme for morning? Well not really, considering the times in which we live.  It was about here that I realized what I wanted to write about in this commentary.

In approximately seven weeks, give or take a day or two, we will be voting in the most important Presidential elections ever held in the history of this country.  Don’t think that it is not, it is.  Why is this one so important?  It is because in the past, we have been a nation divided, and although we are now and will always be, a nation of diverse opinions, we have always worked together, to some extent, to overcome our differences and do what is right for the people.  However, here we sit in 2020, watching the decline of our country amid issues that should be non-existent in a country founded on the principles of peace and equality for all.  This one election could place our country back on track to be the nation that we should be.  This one election, could give America its good standing again with the other countries of this world. One election could be the difference between moving forward as a people committed to the well-being of its citizens or the vehicle that sets us back hundreds of years.

How do we do it? It’s simple.  When you go to vote in November, think about what is good for the people of this country; for ALL OF THE PEOPLE  of this country.  This election should be about Truth, Honor and Fairness.  Obviously ALL of the people in this country are not happy.  There is a large majority of people who feel that this country, at this time in history has failed them.   That feel that this country,  at this time in history, does not value the contributions they have made both voluntarily and involuntarily to make this America what it is. There are people in this country who feel that this country does not value their lives, nor the quality of their lives.   People do not protest because they wake up in the morning and decide that it would be a good day to put their lives on the line just because they have nothing to do that day. THINK ABOUT THAT!

WAKE UP AMERICA!  WE ARE IN CRISIS!  Stop being selfish and think about what’s best for the people.  ALL OF THE PEOPLE.  When you go to cast your vote, put your personal feelings aside, after all we are not voting for just a man, we are hiring a man for a job.  A job who’s non-negotiable qualifications include that he embodies the values, hopes and dreams of ALL Americans.  That he will work for all Americans.

As Americans we must vote for the candidate who will help us to come together and not divide us as a people.  Vote for the candidate, who can mend the broken relationships with countries that were once our friends.  Vote for the candidate that does not preach hate but unity.  These are the principles this country was founded upon.  It is our responsibility to put someone in the Office of the Presidency that will mend the divide that grows deeper each day within this country.

A little heavy for 10 in the morning?  It should be.  We all need to do the right thing on election day.  We need to think about the good of this country as a whole.  We should all be in this together.
